Dispatch Assistant Role Description

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the successful candidates will be based in Cape Town and will be responsible for the following: 

Key Responsibilities

  • Control and reciept of cash and credit/debit card transactions from customers
  • Assisting with daily balancing of cash float and the X-Alt transaction sheet 
  • Assisting with daily control of Electronic Fund Transfers 
  • Excellent Customer Service 
  • Handling Customer Collections for Cash and Account Customers 
  • Filing and scanning of Customers invoices 
  • Ensuring POD capturing of all invoices is up to date 
  • Ensuring dispatch shelves are up to date by
    • Communicating to sales of non-collected orders 
    • Cancelling expired orders and returning stock 
    • General stock takes of orders in dispatch

  • Matric with mathematics is essential 
  • A minimum of one (1) year relevant work experience in a customer facing environment 
  • Previous warehouse experience/knowledge with ICT distribution processes and operations will be advantageous 
  • Own transport and valid driver’s license 
  • Good time management and well organized i.e., deadline driven, able to plan and prioritize a high workload 
  • Above average computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
